9 years after the rescue of Eric Kirby[b] and 5 years before the Jurassic World incident,[c] a laboratory is set up by InGen on Ile Saint-Hubert, a forbidden island in the Atlantic Ocean, to create transgenic mutated dinosaurs. One of these creations, a deformed 6-limbed tyrannosaur dubbed Distortus rex escapes containment, forcing the facility to be abandoned.
