Twenty-eight years after the Rage virus escaped a medical research laboratory, survivors have found ways to exist amidst the infected. Scavenger Jamie lives on heavily defended Holy Island settlement with his pregnant but mentally ill wife Isla and their son Spike. One day Jamie decides to take Spike on a scavenging run to the main land where he plans to teach him how to survive. While on the main land, the pair are spotted by a pack of infected and are forced to flee back to Holy Island.
